First, lightweight on-device checks look for risky patterns and contextual signals—suspicious links, spoofed brands, urgency language, remote-access prompts, and more across screens, emails, chats, and sites. If something looks off, a privacy-preserving AI analysis kicks in to interpret the full context and likelihood of fraud. This layered design catches threats quickly while keeping data minimal and ephemeral, and it adapts as new scam tactics emerge.

After 18 months of R&D, we’re releasing a free Open Beta to protect people now while we refine at real-world scale. The landscape evolves quickly, so your feedback helps us tune detections and guidance fast. It’s free (no card), privacy-first, and will improve rapidly as we iterate.

Yes. ScamAvert is privacy-first: threat checks run on-device whenever possible, and only the minimum metadata needed for detection is sent—ephemerally and encrypted in transit. We don’t store browsing content, we don’t sell data, and we never share with third parties without your consent. You control what’s collected, can opt into/out of Guardian notifications, and can delete your data at any time.
